Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Recipe

I don't like to admit I go to Red Lobster that often living in a city known for their food. My husband and I try to stay away from the chains as much as possible but every so often we get a craving for the Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster. last time I was there I vowed to recreate them, and this is an identical match for their wonderful recipe. The best part... It's so easy to make, and if you are looking for that last minute piece to complete your meal, these only take about a half hour from prep to out of the oven to complete.

Here are the list of ingredients needed for this recipe:

Biscuits:

2 1/2 cups of Bisquick
4 Tablespoons of cold butter
1 cup of Cheddar cheese shredded
3/4 cup of milk
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

Butter Glaze:

3 tablespoons of melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes

The first step is shredding the cheese. You can use pre shredded cheese, but I think it tastes so much better freshly done and it doesn't take that long to do.

Plus is just looks so much better too :)

Once the cheese is shredded measure out the Bisquick and put it into a large mixing bowl...

Next slice up the butter and add it to the mix...

Use a pastry cutter to mix the two ingredients together... If you don't have a pastry cutter you can use two forks but I was so excited to finally use mine a year and a half after my bridal shower :)

It took a little white to get rid of all the clumps, but try to make sure the butter is mixed in very well and not to chunky.

After the mixture is combined add the cheese you shredded earlier...

Then pour in the milk...

And lastly add the garlic powder...

once everything is combined mix it all together... it gets a little thick so it's best to use a wooden spoon for this step. It should form into one nice clump of dough

Now comes the fun part! Drop 1/4 cup portions of the dough onto a lightly greased baking sheet, or line it with parchment paper.

Bake at 400 degrees for 11-13 minutes.

White the biscuits are baking, melt the butter....

Add the garlic powder....

and parsley...

Mix until completely blended...

The biscuits should be slightly brown on the top, and smell heavenly!

See?

Lastly once the biscuits have cooled for a few minutes, use a brush to spread the garlic butter over the tops. I didn't have a brush, so I used a teaspoon and drizzled it over the top.

Serve warm and enjoy! Your guests will be so impressed, and wont know how effortless these fine treats took to make. As seen here this recipe makes 12 large biscuits, if you need more doubling the recipe works well.
